Thanks for the shot Craig, I enjoyed my visit to the U.K. from the comfort of my Boston home, to see fire apparatus.

I visited this station several times in the 1960s and 1970s, and the lineup in those days was four pumps, an emergency tender and a turntable ladder - all of which were manned as far as I know.

Have these resources been dispersed to other stations, or has the local fire service just cut back on the level of protection?

By the way, this was also a mostly Dennis station, with older Leylands in the earlier years.

We had an AEC pump/ladder a Dennis F7 pump, the famous Dennis F12 half cab Water Tender, AEC TL, Leyland Comet Pump, Bedford ET and an ex Civil Defence Ford Thames Control Unit when I was there Rob. The station has now gone but the drill tower has been retained in the new build.

Earlier, there was an F12 PE, a prewar Leyland TL and a prewar Leyland Braidwood pump, which had been converted to an ET. The F7, the Comet and the now famous half cab F12 were also there.

Hi Craig! The second from left is a Volvo, not a Scania!
