Gary, Swab still does fire apparatus, new and rehab, fiberglass bodies for paramedic and animal transport, and utility bodies that somewhat resemble the rescue bodies. They rarely do ambos now.
Thanks Warren I realised after I posted that things might have changed at Swab - my info was a little old, of course its a testament to the heavy duty construction that these rigs lasted as well as they did.Interesting to note that 20yr old rigs coming up for sale now appeared to have absorbed the rigours of Service life well ....I think the items that will affect the serviceability of current apparatus will be the electronics now fitted to control motors, trans, pumps, caffs and ladders time of course will tell

This truck was built off of an original design which was built for the Ogontz Volunteer Fire Company in Elkins Park, PA. The Ogontz VFC Heavy Rescue won many trophy's in Pennsylvania. The truck was last seen rusting at Kenco fabricating in Scotdale, PA.
