Fire Engines Photos

This was a standardized issued truck from the Office of Civil Defense Mobilization, a division of the US Dept. of Defence. The most common chassis was the REO, but there were several different manufacturers who made the bodies.
The standardised equipment list and photos of the original blue over white color scheme can be found in TM-14-1, a 1953(1959) DoD technical manual. Nice trucks, issued to municiple governments upon their request to the Federal Government.
