Westville Auxillary Fire Service doesn't actually exist. The idea was to preserve the original purpose of these vehicles and the badge on the front is that of the AFS. Westville Protection Services as it was back in the 1980's employed two full time officers and 16 Retained firemen on call. The machine was never "on the run" at Westville and was used for display purposes only. I was a retained firemen from 1981 until 1989 when I joined full time as S/O.

A "Red Goddess" and a 4x2 S too ! Plenty of 4x4 RLHZ s preserved or even in use but this one is much less common and more interesting.

Hi,
Vehicle was originally olive green but painted red sometime in the early 70's. Traces of original paint in hose reel compartment. It also has the relay pump high volume coupling in rear locker. This was exported to South Africa in 1971 and used by a local brigade until sold in 1990.
