International ACCO 1900 series Mk3 Multi Purpose (heavy duty) fire appliance. Manufactured in Australia, body by Grummet of Victoria, Serial #9679. Metropolitan Fire Brigade Melbourne, Serial #0115. 1360 litres water tank (300 gals) Darley pump of Illinois USA.
Photographed February 2010 in auction yard Perth Western Australia. Possibly saw service in the mining industry following decommissioning.
These vehicles were the mainstay of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade in Melbourne in the late 80's early 90's. Still in good condition with a little rust starting to appear in the bodywork.
