This looks like one our old machines from Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade. Looking at it, I would say this is probably from the W or Y reg batch. Can anyone supply the UK reg?
Bear in mind Matt that the last year of the "old " reg system (as carried on this Dennis) here in Ireland was 1986. Would they have got rid of a W or Y reg so soon?

Tony, so the N denotes that this was registered in 1986? If so then this couldn't have been from Hereford and Worcester. One thing that does make me think it was though, is the locker format. Hereford and Worcester Dennis' always had the taller front locker.
According to Wikipedia Matt, 2138IN was registered between June 1979 and January 1982. Unfortunately back then, the two or three letters in the registrations were assigned to certain counties and hence the age of a vehicle wasn't apparent. Since 1987, regs are much simplier e.g. 12KY0000 where the year of reg is first followed by the county (KY being Kerry.
