Fire Engines Photos

Thanks for posting another view of LFBs BWCs. Picture 3395 is the other view. There were originally six bought in 2005, but one was written off after it overturned in a ditch. I see BWC2 and BWC5 in the picture, do you know which one turned over. In other words, which BWC wasn't there? Oh, and do you know how big the tanks are and what the pump capacity are?

not surprisingly one of these has ended up in Ireland - with Mayo Fire and Rescue Service. On Fire Ireland website. The agent was MPM.

Well we have one of these on the run at my RDS Station, not a bad bit of kit to be fair. 11000 kms in the clock

11000 km in thirteen years is pretty minimal!

Such a shame these never went on the run... Anyone know what siren they were fitted with when with LFB?

Nothing about the siren, but it was understood they could never meet the LFB tilt test, a conclusion which was emphasized when one did actually roll over.

The oval tank design did not optimize the center of gravity, and they should probably have been on four axle chassis to promote stability and maneuverability too.
