Brought into NZ as a used import from Japan, this 1994 Mitsubishi FM616 is one of three dedicated Urban Search and Rescue vehicles operated by the NZ Fire Service. This example operated from Woolston in Christchurch (the others are based in Palmerston North and in Auckland). Unfortunately this appliance was brought into service extensively following the devastating Canterbury earthquakes.
