New Zealand Iveco - DQQ749

This Iveco Daily 50 is one of 8 purchased by the NZ Fire Service with 7 being allocated to brigades. This was the first placed into service with coachwork completed by SPEL. The original intention was to place these extremely large vehicles with brigades that had two pumps where the first appliance was usually little more than a personnel carrrier. The rear of these units carries a variety of tools along with standpipe & hose. This example toured various brigades around the country before being allocated to the Greerton Brigade.

David:

You mention the original concept. Now, a few years later, do you have any update on how these vans are being used and if they are deemed to have been a good idea?
