This 1988 International is an 1850D model & was one of twenty identical appliances built for the NZ Fire Service by Austral. All 20 remain with the Fire Service although many have been relegated to relief roles. This example served with several brigades in the Marlborough area & as at 2011 is currently with the Kaikoura volunteer brigade.

This appliance was replaced in 2012 with a new Iveco appliance and has now become a relief appliance around the Canterbury region.
