This is a 1955 Colonial Motor Company Ford V8 that was built for the town of Reefton. It is now cared for by the local museum.

The standpipe implies this was a pumper, but the gantries suggest it was intended to carry quite a few ladders overhead.

At the time, most New Zealand appliances - even on British chassis - had American style side hung ladders.
