A shortage of suitable chassis saw this 1936 Ford V8 private car converted by the Colonial Motor Company into a fire appliance including the addition of a front mounted pump. It served the Royal NZ Air Force at its Wigram Air Force Base before ending up at Templeton Hospital. It is now part of the Ferrymead Museum collection.
