The origins of this 1960 RL model are unclear. It ended up with the Little River volunteer fire brigade and the story is that it thought to be highly unstable & unsafe. It was eventually decomissioned & scrapped much to the relief of the brigade.

I came across this truck back in 2007. It was owned privately. Modified with a couple of spray bars and used at the time on film sets, according to the owner at the time. Not sure if this is still the case today.
