This 1965 RL was originally an NZ Army truck before being converted into a water tanker for the Selwyn Plantation Board based near Darfield. It was withdrawn from service and scrapped.

I have now seen photos that show this appliance as a fire tanker while in the service of the NZ Army. The tank section was replaced by the Selwyn Plantation Board.
