Bedford Pump Escape. 1962.

Taken in July 1962, at HAVANT fire station (B16) Hampshire fire service, by my late father who was station Officer from 1961 to 1964.
Reg. OOR 154. The second appliance (the pump) was also a Bedford, but with a 35 ft. wooden ladder. This registration was TOR 89. The appliance in the background was the AFS 'Green Godess' pump, that was attached to Havant fire station.

According to "We also build fire engines" by Alan House, this is a 1955 Bedford S with bodywork constructed by the Hampshire Fire Service at their own workshops.
