Bedford appliances of Dorset Fire Brigade.

Taken on Weymouth seafront, 1993 at the 12 pump fire, Alexander Gdn's amusement complex. There were 'Bedford's galore'. These 3 pumps arrived with-in 10 mins of each other.(WJT 241X ) left of pic was at Wareham fire station as the Wrt when I photographed it some 12 months before. The appliance on the far right was a 'Y' reg starting BPR, but cant remember or make out the numbers.

Fantastic photo Andy of 3 great appliances. Had many happy hours turning out in similar pumps when I joined. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the photo Andy, this has brought back memories, as the family and I were on the esplanade side of this when it happened, pity we cannot post movies clips on here, as I had filmed them.

Thank-you for the comments folk's. I have several more pics of this incident, it really was a Bedford 'day out'! I was a postman at the time in Weymouth, and ran down camera in hand from my home 500 yds from the Fire station.

See picture 27590 which I also took at this incident of the one off Bedford on a TL chassis C625XPR, the then 2nd away machine at Weymouth. I also have a picture of BPR180Y & BPR181Y running as Water Ladder and Water tender Weymouth in 1985 as call-sign's 107 & 207 in that order.

BPR182Y can be eliminated as it was the appliance at Christchurch that was crushed by a falling tree in the storm of 1987.
