Tyne & Wear GMC/Locomotors RIV F156SREPhotographed in 1989 outside of Sunderland Central Fire Station this Rapid Intervention Vehicle was introduced in 1989 as a light emergency tender and towing vehicle. Talking to firefighters at the time, being allocated to man this vehicle was not popular with them as the Brigade Control did not turn it out as much as they thought it should have been.
