London Fire Brigade Citroen Van, 2002

I spotted this Brigade vehicle in the rear yard at Southwark on 3rd November 2011. LC52RSB is a Citroen van with unusual markings for the LFB.It clearly is not a front line vehicle,but I can't recall seeing any other vehicles on the fleet with this type of striping. I couldn't find out what section it belonged to. My apologies for a somewhat poor photo, but it was in the shadow of Tower 3 and the light was pretty bad.

This is classed as a "Panel Van" by the LFB fleet list. It is most probably a general-purpose van.

When brought into service this was used as a "Water Vehicle", and the amber beacon would suggest that to still be its use. The registration you mention is quoted as "not issued" on the registration sites, which accounts for my not being able to find it on the database. The fleet number V.306 is visible on the side however, and this refers to Berlingo LG52 RBV.

Thanks for the correction of the reg number Ian. I quickly snapped the picture as I needed to be elsewhere at the time and later I couldn't really decipher the number plate on the photo. Yes I suppose it could be a Water Section vehicle, but it isn't a frequent visitor to Southwark.
