Ian, You have come up with the goods! This is the machine that John C Thompson and I can remember. What marque is this, was it designated as a P. Can you date its entry into service, I also notice it was registered in Berkshire. Once again many thanks on this find.
This is the one for sale on Ebay, horrible things have happened to it, basically now an open limo with 2 roows of cross bench seats where the front locker was. We really do need a listing scheme for historic vehicles.
I dont think it would take a lot to restore the bodywork Neal. Its only woodwork, building a box etc. Least its still "alive".

It's not just woodwork. It's finding the correct hinges, locker handles, edging strips and then there is the re-skinning. All 'do-able' but still taking a lot of time and effort. Will it end up with a preservationist? I dearly hope so but doubt it.
This pump (an F2) was much later in service with UKAEA Winfrith, but it should also be mentioned that the machine which is currently on ebay - which does indeed have the chassis from this one - carries a body that has been so much modified as to be almost unrecognisable ! Try having a look and you'll see what I mean.

Does anyone have a photo of the other Aldermston machine of the day please, this was LJB 798, and it was a C02T.

I think the back end is more or less original although the pump gauges are missing also the ladder gantry. I wonder if he kept the bits. I see he has some bids on it. I cannot see any seatbelts I would have thought even as a old vehicle it would still need seatbelts for hire and reward ie a posh minicab!
Hi just thought I would let you all no I am now the new owner of this Dennis F2 and need your help to put it back as a fire engine would like a wheel Escape Ladder and brackets and much more.
