It's difficult to see ALPs lasting over 20 years on the run! I wonder what the % availability is?

Wrexhams ALP is 19 years old, albeit up for replacement soon. E717SON, the Scania/Carmichael/Bronto demonstrator bought later by Cheshire CFB, was sold to Christchurch, New Zealand. I believe its still operational in NZ. Wrexhams (J21PJC) is the only one in North Wales without self levelling, one less thing to go wrong!

Newport on the Isle of Wight runs the oldest ALP in the UK at 22-years old I think? However a new Scania ALP has been ordered to replace this.

Cleveland still have E604LHN a Scania 92M/Saxon/Simon SS363 Hydraulic Platform that was new in 1987. It currently runs at Stockton.
Cleveland also have a new Volvo/Bronto Skylift NK50BZN new in service during 2010 and based at Middlesbrough.

This appliance is soon to be replaced by a G reg. second hand Scania / Metz TL bought from Mid and West Wales. The volvo will then become the brigade sapre height appliance.

I think the scania has gone as well now no tl at sighthill for a while now and Grampian hp back at McDonald road.

Both TL`s at Sighthill and Tollcross have been withdrawn. The ex Grampian HP is to go to Sighthill but is currently on the run at McDonald Road covering for their own HP. Tollcross is to get the new Volvo / Metz TL. It is thought Mc Rd will get one of the new ALPS`s due in the next few months and Sighthill will get an ARP hand down from Dundee and the both HP`s will be withdrawn.

There is 4 new Volvo FM 6x2's in build at Rosenbauer/metz as ALP's 1 going to McDonald Road (Edinburgh), 1 going to Blackness Road (Dundee). Don't know where the other 2 are going? I got this info from a fellow FBS member.

I took 2 photos of 2 of the Volvo chassis down at Blackness Road in April 2015.

Just heard from Rosenbauer that 3 ALPs to be delivered this year, 3 next and potential in the contract for another 4 more. Photos of one on their Twitter feed.

Arp sat in sighthill station this morn with the two rescue pumps

According to Rosenbauer web page four alp were to be built and delivered by the end of last year then six more by 2019 official from Scottish fire rescue one may go to Livingston and Sighthill will get an arp and hrv.
