This unit seems to have around twelve hose and/or water connections, which seems a lot! Can any of our antipodean friends enlighten us as to what they all do?
Rob I have seen similar Australian appliances and have been of the opinion that the valves in line with the hard suction intake near the bottom of the pump may be intakes for pressurised water from hydrants etc thus doing away with having to connect a collecting head, the intakes already being in situ as it were, this can be seen better on the pump panels of the older international pumpers where you will see a line of what look like intakes on the suction side of the pump which can be opened and shut off by its own valve, in the event that hard suction has to be used from open water then the valves can be closed off.
