Chevrolet pump Whitehorse Canada 90 019

I photographed this old Chevrolet pump in Whitehorse Yukon Canada. I had to use the zoom lens to get a nice picture. Not sure where this unit was in service. The call sign is 90 019. anyone got a clue ?

Seems like a tanker unit.

This was most probably built between around 1965 to 1975. The Chevrolet and identical GMC forward control chassis were used quite frequently for fire engine applications, usually purchased by small volunteer fire companies with limited budgets.

After the tilt cab Ford C series was introduced, it became by far the leading volume manufacturer producing fire apparatus chassis, and the Chevrolet and GMC units gradually faded from the scene.

Although some of these had canopy style crew cabs, with a rear facing bench seat, most did not.
The crew either rode standing on the rear step and/or responded to an incident in their own vehicles. As this one is a tanker, it would usually be manned by only a driver = and perhaps one or two additional members, if available.
