American LaFrance Aerial 1922

This American LaFrance Hook and Ladder Aerial Type 31/6 is quit impressive. This aerial was delivered in 1922 to the Westfield Fire department in the state New York. At the back there is room for a tiller man to manoeuvre this long vehicle through the streets. The ALF serial number is 3921.
The restoration of this unit was made by John Abrahamson from Enfield Auto Restoration. He made a great job. This ALF is on display in the Louwman Car museum in the Hague, the Netherlands.

Wonderful appliance and a marvelous effort to all involved in the restoration of her. Time, money, sweat and tears involved in the painstaking work but what an outcome. Well done to all
