Fire Engines Photos

I beleive it replaced at Maldon the Dennis F28 PE (OWC629?) that is now preserved at Grays museum.

Does anyone know what the other appliance at Maldon was please? I know they got one of the Y reg Dennis RS133s new in 1983 but I don't know what that replaced.

blimey, I went there about 10 years ago and it was sitting there in the same spot, waste of a brilliant appliance, you would have thought as a museum/collection they would have restored it.

I think its there more as a works appliance than a museum piece. I went to a fire at the museum in about 2004/5 and this appliance was in attendance when we arrived, the workers did a great job in stopping the fire from spreading.

Last time I went to Hollycombe (2 or 3 years ago) it was used to pump water for the steam engines.

A lick of paint, that's so true Dave. You would think being a museum piece really that would be done.
