Dodge/Benson Control Unit. H&WFB.
This 'SPECIAL' replaced an old Home office (ex NFS) control unit, that was based at Kidderminster, (Worcester City & County Fire Brigade/Hereford & Worcester Fire Brigade 1974 to 1980. The Dodge was based at stn.26, Droitwich,call sign originally 'Charlie Uniform', then changed to 268. It moved to Worcester for a spell, as 218, then finally to Malvern stn.41 as 418, maintaining Control Unit status until its replacement in 2000 by a 'coach' built style command unit, still running front line today.

I just put it's reg no into a google search (NYR 824) and it appears to have been turned into a flat bed milk lorry!!!
