UK Mercedes in Las Vegas.
The UK (ex Dorset) Mercedes 1124AF / HCB-Angus compact water tender L343 CEL that's going around the world in aid of cancer and firefighters' charities is due in New York on Monday. Having already crossed Europe, Russia, China, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, it now nearing the end of its journey across America.
The USA part of the trip has included the West Coast and the Mercedes has also been in Las Vegas, Phoenix, New Orleans and Washington DC. It's in New York for a few days before being shipped to Morocco in north Africa. On Tuesday it will be at the New York Fire Museum in Spring Street, Manhattan.
The final stage of the trip is across Spain and France with the Mercedes arriving back in London in April. All details are on the website: www.followthatfireengine.com

Simon .....although the Las Vegas shot was supplied to me by Steve Moore, he did get a surprise in the Dark Horse on Murray Street, Manhattan when I appeared with my cameras this evening. After a few photo-calls on Tuesday, the Mercedes is being taken to the port ready for shipment next week. Due to shipping problems, it's first going to Valencia and then across to Morocco for a brief visit before traveling back to the UK. I'll send a shot of it in New York before it sets sail.
