The right rear jack once sustained damage because the Municipality of Almere had installed the guide triangles the wrong way around. Things went wrong while I was turning left onto the bus lane—a route I’d taken for ten years; well, just €33,000 in damage to a €1.4 million vehicle. It wasn't down to my driving style; I was driving at a crawl to avoid hitting the traffic light with the top of the ladder.
