Ex Clwyd Mercedes/Saxon

Seen turning out of Wrexham,North Wales FRS station on 30.1.2011 is a very fine looking K32TCC, it was new in 1993 and was last in service at Corwen before being replaced by Volvo/Saxon PO54FJX (Ex Llandudno). It has been refurbished and carries lighter red paint and thicker stripework than original.

Looks remarkable for nearly 18 years old! I wonder what the lads at Wrexham think about it compared to the modern MAN's.

Perhaps it doesn't break down as much! Ironic when people say about Volvo or Merc. I have the privilege!!!! of driving Volvo, Merc and Dennis refuse and recycling vehicles now, Merc Econic are great, Volvo ok as all rounders, Dennis are constant problems. If they made Dennis like R/RS which I drove as Fire appliances or early Volvo FL6 then they would be ok, if they cant build a bin wagon how can they build a fire engine? My baby, my Dodge/Carmichael is my favourite anyway!
