The Tl Bottoms!
So here we can see the answer to the TL ladder quiz, which only John Walker from New Zealand made a serious attempt to answer. The Loudon 'Rougues' have been suitably exposed.
So from the left we have,
Dennis Metz F17 - This ladder is distinctive due to verticle and angular bracing forming squares.
TL's 2 and 4 are Merryweather Tl's, number 4 being on the later 'Ergo' cabbed chassis. Merryweather ladders are easy to spot as the support for the ladder (the red arms in the photograph) extend almost half the length of the ladder.
TL number 3 with the cage is a Dennis F123 Magirus. Looking at the picture with the ladders extended you can see the characteristic external pulley blocks for the Magirus ladder.
TL number 5 is where everyone failed. It is a Magirus, pre-cage, mounted on an IVECO chassis, so in a way it was from all from one manufacturer.
