West Kelowna FD Ford Superior Pump

This is the reserve pump of the West Kelowna FD. Theown pump from station 31 was in the workshop so they had this one on duty. This is a 1990 Ford C8000/Superior. Pump capacity 1050 gallon/minute. 800 Gallons of water on board. License plate AV 6879.

Top mounted pump control panel combined with a rather unusual full height canopy cab. Most C series with crew cabs retained the standard factory cab profile.

The C8000 was the heavy duty chassis, with a powerful Cat engine, and could handle a big pump, a large tank and quite an impressive equipment load.
