Tender 31 Quesnel Fire dept Ford

In Fire hall 3 from the Quesnel Fire department you can find this 1981 Ford C8000 Tandem/Westank/Willock 290 Watercarrier. The tank contains 2500 gallons of water. License plate 8622MC
Quite a old vehicle and not very fast. If this truck drives hill up you easily walk beside it..........
Special thanks to the fire crew for their help.

The optional Cat engines were fine for most fire service applications in the C series, but a bit marginal on tandem axle tankers with this size water tank...

I cannot remember the C8000 GVW, but I suspect this beast was almost certainly at or even over its design weight.
