Shoreham Airport Fire 3.
Shoreham Airport in West Sussex operate this Scania P420(420hp)Carmichael Viper 4X4 chassis on which is mounted a specialist fire fighting body as their Fire3.Its a R/H drive chassis and is operated by a crew of two or four and is suitable for rough terrian and cross-country use.
The vehicle can eccelorate from 0-50mph in 23 seconds and has a maximum speed of over 80mph.
Fire 3 carries 4627 litres of water,and a foam tank capacity of 746 litres of class B,FFFP foam compound for firefighting.
Fire 3 also has an integral 220 litre training foam tank in its design that allows real foam training to take place without enviromental issues.
