Staffordshire F&RS Jeep - Light Rescue Tender

At the request of Adrian Hyde, this is E935 JFA, Jeep J20 with bodywork by John Dennis Coachbuilders. Apologies for the fuzzy old scanned photo. This LRT was based at Newcastle-under-Lyme and then Leek. Seen here at an open day at Longton about 1989.

Moments after this photo was taken, she responded to an RTA on the M6 with only her sirens working, and with NO flashing lights. And the reason for this? Kids! Apparently the blue-light switch wasn't kid-proof back then! Don't know what they're like now, Adrian!

Thanks Yelp.
Fantastic photo. Ive still got the truck, in Oswestry, and she is exactly the same as the photo but minus the bull bar and a little bit faded paintwork. Yes the sirens and lights work perfectly. The engine and running gear are perfect and considering size and weight...very fast. She hasnt been on the road for about 12 months and is parked up in my garage. It could be for sale as a new project is looming. Will send in an up to date photo. Cheers Adrian
