1984 fire exhibiton at NEC Birmingham. This was stationed at Dunfermline but did not last long as the XRL model was Merryweather's last gasp attempt to compete with Metz and Magirus. See also picture 21084 for the XRL story.

I believe that this Merryweather Ladder only lasted around 18 months and was withdrawn from service, does anyone know what happened to it?? The MAN in the back ground is A363 JRF the MAN 16.240/Angloco Metz DL30 TL that Staffordshire bought from the exhibition.
