Is there still a Crash/Rescue service at this Airfield?

The Airfield is no more as it has been used for houses, offices and University building. The main gate is now a Kentucky food outlet and the main canteen is now the new Hatfield Police Station and Magistrates Court.

Airport Fire Hall - great atmosphere, especially with those rivetted posts and beams.
Hatfield is just outside of London, UK; in 1930, the legendary 'de Havilland Aircraft Co.' opened their big factory there, producing the 1st passenger jet air-liner, de Havilland Comet [yes, before the DC-8 and Boeing 707!] and 'The Plywood Wonder', the twin-engined, very fast, wooden, de Havilland Mosquito fighter-bomber which could carry the same weight of bombs as the heavily-gunned 4-engine B-17; and other successful aircraft.....
Nice to see that this historic site has a second life...I had to look it up, for us "furriners".

Great Pic, I was firefighter there late 80’s till it closed in 1994. Any more pics of the station and appliances and noted the one of the team when I was there on line?
