Fire Engines Photos

It looks to have scrubbed up rather well!.
Appearing very complete, the beacon looks to be a rare survivor.
What works are now planned?

Hello John, yes it doesn't look too bad on this side which was less exposed to the weather. It is very complete, the fact that the machine looked like it had come off the run and then just been parked for 40 years was one of the things that attracted me to it.
When new, there was no beacon fitted and this one is not of the type that was fitted whilst in service (sometime between 1953 and 1965). I still think there is a works brigade history to this vehicle or maybe an early unknown preservationist fitted it.
As for works planned, I am currently stripping down the engine as there appears to be a valve issue preventing it from running. Once that is sorted out, I will work through all the mechanical elements required to make it roadworthy.
