Tanker from Kaunas fire- brigade.
Based on a German Magirus Deutz 150D 11A.
Bodywork made by Magirus, also.
It carries a 2400l Watertank.

The photo was taken in 2000, it seems to be a donation from a German fire- brigade.

Magirus was for many years the only European fire truck manufacturer who built a complete vehicle. Engine, chassis, pump, cab, bodywork and even turntable ladders all made by the same company. This integrated system was started in the thirties and continued until the firm was merged into IVECO. They then standardized on IVECO chassis and more recently have been building both pumpers and aerials on a wide variety of chassis including both MAN and Mercedes.
