Photo of 1971 Ford R192 'bus' pumper QFS fleet 503

Rear view of the Ford R192 pumper ex South Coast Fire Brigade. Shown clearly is the Godiva pump, 750 GPM amd Pyrene foam controls. On board water pump hold 1750 litres and the body is made of fibreglass. Just purchased to go into preservation, picture taken 6th November 2010. Great piece of QFS history, the original Firepac.

The roller shutters contained preconnected flaked hoses. This seems to be a uniquely Australian idea, and combines the North American idea of a hose bed with the French concept of having preconnected hose carts hung on the back of the pumper.
