Is this vehicle operational, there appears to be two "bottle" jacks supporting the front axle. Also the grill cover appears to be missing.

I wasnt aware this picture gallery was just for operational appliance Alan?

This site is certainly not just for operational appliances of which many of us have no real interest.Historical, vintage, preserved and even scraped vehicles are of interest to many of us on this site who are now getting on in years.
In reference to Alan's comment regarding is this appliance operational?, it actually states on another picture that this, although being an operational fire station, is also the brigades maintenance/workshops.

Fred, Suitably advised and reprimanded, just interested thats all!!
Pete, Like you interested in all aspects, thanks for pointing out that the station is attached to the main Workshops.
Very impressed by your models when meeting you at ODIHAM this year, hope you are keeping well.

Apologies for the late response. This appliance is in operational but not at that point of time because it was sent from the other fire station for repairs........

"JT 13" is a Jumbo Tanker 13000 litre tank capacity. The city operates numerous units like this in support of the pumper fleet, which includes standard pumpers with 4550 litre water tanks. Both types are configured to contend with large built up areas including extensive slums which have limited access to fire hydrants and/or problems with water flow rates from those hydrants which can be reached easily.

Traffic conditions are often not conductive to laying out hose relays, so tanker shuttles are deployed as needed when serious incidents occur.
