Fire Engines Photos

Striking perhaps...

But this baby blue two tone paint treatment just does not really say fire engine any more! D&D's livery was in my opinion much more persuasive - and the Euros spent on this respray could have been put to better use! (Perhaps even to paint the back half red to match the front?)

The Civil Defence are not a front line response, they are an auxillary service. The paint scheme is similar to all vehicles in their fleet.

If they do not respond to emergencies, why does this unit retain its air horns and blue lights?

Didn't say they don't respond to emergencies, simply that they are not a front line or first response, they are an auxiliary service.

Just received a model of this unusual machine as part of my eightieth birthday celebration, to add to my collection of models from various countries. No room for full size vehicles unfortunately!
