Nissan RAV appliance Brisbane

Nissan RAV (Rural Attack Vehicle) in situ at Roma Street Fire station, Brisbane Queensland. Even in metropolitan Brisbane, there are simply some places that the larger pumpers cannot go, and this is where this unit comes in handy. It will traverse scrub and dense bush if necessary. It features an on board water tank which can be used up until 5/8 of the water has gone. The unit will then cease supply of any further water. The remaining water is then on standby for the operator of this vehicle in the event that the vehicle is cordoned by errant fire. The unit features a spray nozzle just behind the cabin which will create a curtain of this standby water around the vehicle enabling the operator to vacate the fire in an emergency. This vehicle is allocated to the area trainer on a day to day basis.
