Volvo FL6 18 Tayside Fire and Rescue

This ia Volvo FL6 18 tonne appliance of Tayside Fire and Rescue. it is curently serving in Blairgowrie but may be taken off the run shortly as they are upgrading and getting another Scania.
This appliance and another one Blairgowrie used to have where the only 18 tonne chassis that Tayside ever puchased, every other FL6 was a 14 tonne chassis.

rare these at 18 tonnes , only a very few chassis of this wieght bodieda s appliances , normally 14/16 tonne , a lot higher and more powerfull , Blairgowrie had the only two tayside had and were new to perth for a short period before moving to blairgowrie and served them well for many years , now replaced by two scanias , nice beefy looking machine

I know the ex watch manger from Blairgowrie, and he said he preferred the Volvo's due the hillier area's that they covered.
