This appliance only went to Central Region Fire Brigade as a retired/preserved appliance.
The appliance served all its service as the second appliance (PE) at (C8) Lerwick fire station in the Shetland Islands (Highlands and Islands Fire Brigade (1983-2013, Northern Fire Brigade (1975-83) and Northern Area Fire Brigade (1948-75)). When the appliance retired from service in 1985 it was the last pump escape serving in Scotland. A pump escape was kept at Lerwick to enable stability of the ladder in high winds.
