US Department Goes European

Kennett Fire Company near Philadelphia (USA) owns a pair of these Rosenbauer Rescue-Engines. The pump and panel are located at the rear of the machine, with the driver's side loaded with firefighting equipment, and the officer's side reserved for rescue tools and equipment.

The department has a long standing firefighter exchange program with the UK and Germany, and over the years have integrated European technology with US tactics.

The department also own a Mercedes Benz UNIMOG chassis/Rosenbauer which is operated as a Ladder Tender, and a 1996 Metz/Volvo 100 ft. Ladder Tower -- the first delivered to a US fire department.
