the pump door hinges upwards surely thats a head hazard

as you said it was only two appliances with the red livery i have seen a pic of one of the other volvos and it has a 135 ladder , could the last two volvos possibly be special appliances

Is this a special then? i know merseyside's special rescue pump has a similar gantry in the 135 place with "Hansa Board"

doubt this will be a special as west mids use pods for all there specials plus think they have some newish MAN prime movers.

Merseyside also have Pods but as Sean said Merseyside have a pump that is only used by the Special Rescue Team as first responce, The pod follows behind.It also does not have a 135 ladder, but a hansa board as stated.It is at Croxteth fire station.

WMFS appliances carry flaked hose for water relays, those small rear doors either side of the pump doors is where the hose gets laid.
