HCB Angus did a very nice job on these later D series, integrating the standard tilt cab very cleverly. I really like the all red paint treatment - it looks like a real fire engine!

The 1014 designation was meant to indicate a 10 tonne GVW chassis and a 140 BHP engine. This was a Ford 4.9 liter turbocharged diesel.

Other chassis options were the 1317 and 1617. Both of these had the Perkins V8 8.3 liter 170 BHP diesel engine, which was also used at the same time by Dennis, Dodge, ERF and Shelvoke in many of their fire appliance chassis.
