Liam, I notice that this is the XL 10 man cab and in another picture of yours there's a Scania with extended cab. Does Grampian operate these machines as 10 crew pumps in order to cut 2 pump stations down to 1 pump, or do you just like alot of space in your cabs!

Hi
10 Man cabs on full time are just for extra equipment. 2 Retained stations in grampian have 10 man cabs but the older 94d's and they have double seats in the back for 10 men. But they both run water carriers. But the full time stations have a 10 man cab but not doubles seats. This is for extra eqiupment.
From January 2012 Grampian have put on the run at station 77 N Anderson Drive Aberdeen (w/t) 2 Scania P280/e-one Wrl reg Nos.SV61AWU SV61AWX and they are only CP28 (6 man cabs)which is a 1st. The last 2 were the same but 60 plates and went to station 95 Stonehaven (Rtd)in 2011.
Cheers Liam, Afraid there's no FBS visit to Grampian this year, the last Scottish one is in August my local Tayside. We have 2 pumps getting bodied from e-one at the mo. The 12 plate Scania/Angloco CARP for station 2 MacAlpine is not on the run yet because of training, it will be replacing 1 pump and the P reg Volvo ALP. Perth's 10 plate CARP is in workshops at the mo and a guy was up from Angloco last week. Station 1 Blackness Roads 09 CARP is now deputising for Perth's. So any future visits appliances will be "Scottish Fire&Rescue Service" signed.
The blue and white livery reminds me of Fort Worth, Texas, which also has this color scheme. Despite the fact they also have large cabs, they run with a four person crew. Leaves enough room for a lot of EMS gear!
The Dennis is still at Ballater as at June 2018, although most of the Aberdeen Full time units are now red, the white ones are still in house throughout the country areas.
