This is another appliance recovered for restoration drove this also between 69/71 in Malta at RAF Luqa fire service (see picture 23563 for another one).

A very early Alfred Miles all alloy Bedford S type water tender, still with slam lockers.

On the early 1950s Miles units, the front cowl was the original Bedford steel panels - hence the rust! If you look very carefully, it is actually possible to see where the two types of metal joined up...
