Basingstoke Special Equipment Unit

Photo taken May 2010 at Beaulieu Motor Museum. THis Volvo FL6 was among the first generation of Special Equipment Units in Hampshire, now in preservation. It was built by Hampshire Fire Brigade Workshops and issued new to Basingstoke as an 'Emergency Tender'. It was later renamed 'Special Equipment Unit' and the authority renamed 'Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service'.
