yes they do, 2 Volvo wrl's (V796 DGM & V795 DGM). I don't know when they are going to be getting Scanias, it is normal for wholetime stations to get the new appliances and I don't think Surrey have anymore Scanias on order, I could be wrong.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service bought about six months ago 12 more Scanias that should arrive in the county soon this year. So may be Oxted will get one of those or a handed down one.
Scania do seem to be a very popular appliance these days , taking over from Volvo. With Oxted they do have crewing problems during the day I believe missing on many calls , is this so .

i wonder.......24 scanias in total and 24 stations....aim for 1 scania per station? possibly
12 scanias ordered in 05/06 (6x 94-D and 6x P270) and 12 more ordered = 24 scanias
Yes I wondered that, all though I would guess that there are a few stations that are too small to house a Scania. Will have to wait and see. Bye the way great photo.
Under Surrey F&RS current proposals 1 pump based at Oxted will be crewed 7am to 7pm by firefighters from stations that will either close at night (Esher & Staines) or where 1 pump will no longer be crewed at night (Epsom, Camberley & Reigate). Their main task will be to focus on Community Fire Safety whilst being an "immediately available fire engine". The retained pumps at Lingfield and Oxted would not be utilised during the day. The same model of crewing is also proposed for Haslemere & Godalming. Walton is to be upgraded to wholetime, Chobham & Cranleigh will not be utilised during the day and Guildford, Dunsfold & Gomshall will have "no retained duty system fire engines assigned to them".
I am presuming they will close. I totally agree Dave, there is no room for flexibility in the event of a serious incident. There appears to be too much reliance on the availability of pumps from neighbouring brigades which cannot be guaranteed. If this plan goes ahead, which it probably will do (public consultation just a paper exercise to pacify the residents of Surrey that their views count), then I can see that come the summer when there's another Thursley Common or Pirbright Ranges the Brigade will be in a very sticky situation. I find it ludicrous that they want to reduce Reigate to 1 pump at night and rely on Horley (West Sussex) for back up when Horley have been reduced to 1 pump station. However I do agree with the proposals for Dunsfold & Gomshall, incidents in these areas can easily be covered by Cranleigh and Godalming. The other factor being the lack of availability of crew from these 2 stations.
Do I now hear (September 2013), that Oxted and Cranleigh are both being reduced from 2 pumps to 1, either this month or next month, as Walton has already been?
